Very Sad Story

I copied this form the main board. Thought it worth sharing. I plan to contact the Clarion Ledger today on her behalf and give them a WLS/Clinic name in N. Ms that is accredited. Meaning if she has medicare/medicaid (which I do not know if she has medicare) they are more likely to pay for her surgery since it is an accredited facility. I do not want to give anyone false hope but it might just be worth her time to check into the clinic. Please keep this lady in your prayers, and pray that m/m will cover her surgery.   I am about to get on my soap box for a moment.....One thing that makes me so blasted mad about Ms Medicaid is that they will cover the cost of viagra but will not cover birthcontrol or wl meds/supplements. How is viagra more important than wl/supplements. This is just one of my beefs with our state program but I do not have time to get into the others nor do I want my bp to get to the boiling point this early in the a.m. Thanks for letting me rant!!! Please remember this lady in prayer!  She gained too much weight while saving for WLS that now surgeons won't operate on her ....

Phyllis,  I understand your anger at the "system".  Makes no sense how they do things.  I am not from MS, but I do have family that lives there and I hear the things they tell me.  This poor woman..I feel so bad for her.  I will definitely have her in my prayers.    How do I set up a weight thing like you have ( surgery/current/goal)????? Tammi, I might not get so fumed if I did not work in health care and see this type of junk first hand!! Anyhoo...go to user settingin the upper left hand corner of the page, click on it and it will take you to where you need to go to set up a siggy. If you have any probs, give me a shout out. Phyllis, I ,too, understand your anger at the system. I had to borrow money to pay for my surgery as my insurance would not help me save my own life and cut their expensise in half literally...It makes me wonder if they want a person to be sick to make them have more money from the drug companies.. just a thought I will pray for this lady and I do hope everything works out according to Our Lord's will.
