A WOW moment and HELLO!!!
Hey everyone, sorry I have been MIA. I do read the boards when i can, but its been a huge challenge to have the time to post as I have to share the computer now. I love you all and I am praying for you! I miss you all so much!! I miss being able to post every day on here!! My heart aches for all the prayer requests and for those new people on this board I have not had a chance to "meet" here.
I am praying for you!!! Thank you for your prayers as well!!! I appreciate them!! I appreciate my sweetheart asking for prayer for me!! I am on the mend!!
I have to share my WOW moment......... I can get into a size 6 (or 8, depending on the brand). BUT hey its still a size 6, and I DON"T RECALL ever wearing this size!!! Maybe in elementary school. I do remember in 7th grade shopping for size 7-8. BUT Never a 6!! I went and looked at the clearance racks and found a pair of cute skorts. I tried them on and thought they were just a little bit loose. I checked the size and they were an 8. AND I found a 6 and tried these on and they fit perfectly!! I cried!!!!! That was a HUGE WOW moment for me!!! I haven't stepped on the scale much, but know that I have lost more than 100 pounds now. I plan on weighing myself tomorrow or Saturday to see how much I have actually lost. Either way, I was sooo happy. I know the size of clothes was NOT my intention for having this surgery, but it is an added benefit to be able to get into a smaller size. I THANK God everyday that I had the opportunity to have this surgery!! It has COMPLETELY changed my life!!!!
I hope you are all planning on coming to our wedding!! I have some extra special friends who are coming from MN who have had WLS as well!! They can't wait to meet all of you!!!

Hey Lucy, So happy for you loss so to speak:) ,,,It does change your life and even more so as you go along... I am 5 years out in Nov and lordy how different in every way. So happy for your new life as well as you become a transplant Alabamian.. I am one of those ,,, :) I even say YALLLLL now ... Continued good wishes and happiness to you . Hugs and Blessings Shirley

It is nice to see you posting. Maybe soon you will be able to get your very own NEW computer/laptop and you will be back on here all the time. We do miss you! I am so glad you are feeling better.
And a BIG CONGRAT on your WOW moment! What a feeling huh! I cant wait to be able to have my WLS and feel all those wonderful WOW feelings!

Lucy, congratulations on the size "6"! I remember crying in the fitting room of a clothing store when I realized I had gone from their size XL (the largest size they carried) down to a S! The tears were still noticable when I checked out with 3 pair of size SMALL slacks and 3 size SMALL blouses. The sales girl asked if something was wrong. I told her nope, "Everything is perfect!" Of course I had to explain that I had lost almost 100 lbs and before that had to buy their size XL!

Congrats on your new, much smaller, size! It's always a nice surprise when that next size smaller fits. Right now I am between sizes and can't wait until the day I try on those smaller pants/capris and they actually fit (I can get into them but they are too tight to realistically wear..lol).
Getting into a 6 is quite an accomplishment! That's a teeny tiny size!

Sounds great!! You better check that wedding dress and make sure it doesn't need to come in some. I'm so happy for you to have gotten down into a 6!! That is a great accomplishment!!!!! The wedding is going to be gorgeous!!!! I hope we'll get to be there.
