Anyone been to the Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro?  I think we might check it out while we are in Fort Payne next week.

We are looking forward to the weekend.  The service is at Adamsburg Chruch of God and the pastor has called several times about us coming.  He is a good friend and he and his wife are excited about us coming to be with them.  Ellen and Maxie planned to come also before his last visit to the hospital.  I hope they can still come.

I don't recgonize the name but that does not mean we don't know him.  I am awful with names. Where is he now?  The name of this pastor is Wayne Fails.  He is from the Baldwin County area.  We went to his church several times when he was at Brewton.  He and his wife had one son and wanted another baby so much.  She found out she was expecting and carried the baby full term.  About half way when they did the ultrasound they found out it had a birth defect and would only live a few minutes or hours after birth.  They were devistated but chose to continue with the pregnancy.   We were with them shortly after she delivered this baby and just like predicted the baby died.  God gave Jimmy a word for them.  I don't remember exactly what it was but He told them that He saw their tears and knew their pain but to hold fast because a special blessing was headed their way. They found out sometime later that she was expecting again.  She delivered perfectly healthy twins!!!  I love seeing God's wonderful work!!

Hey Lady,

Never been there but have wanted to.   Maybe someday!

Do me a favor?!?

Pray for Joe..he's having some issues with his heart and B/P that have become concerning.  Also, I am driving Jonathan to Atlanta late Thursday..Early Friday to catch a plane to Minnesota to help his sister move home.  I am concerned about the drive, him flying for the first time and a host of other things.  I believe you and Jimmy are God fearing people and truly reach out to the Lord In all sincerity.

Love to you both,

Lisa

Hi Lisa.  We will be sure to pray for both Joe and Jonathan.  There is nothing too hard for our God.  He created that heart so He knows how it works!!  My son Scott is leaving tomorrow taking his girlfriend back to AK. so  I know how you feel about Jonathan being on the road.  We will just have to plead the blood over all of them.  Thanks for your confidence in us.

I thought EVERYthing was too pricey, lol.  I drug my poor hubby up there last summer, promising him all these 'bargains' and 'treasures'.  We spent a total of 10 min in the place...I thought it was a total rip off!   Ft. Payne is a great place, and if you don't have anything else to do, then Unclaimed Baggage might be a fun way to waste an afternoon...otherwise, don't bother, LOL. Edited to add:  BTW....I didn't find anything there that I thought to be "unclaimed baggage".  It looked more like a clearance center to me.  For example, in the men's dept, there was a full wall of concert tshirts-toby keith, garth brooks, etc.-all sizes.  How could ALL of those shirts end up as "unclaimed baggage"?????

I love UB. I have been there a couple of times. You really have to look for the bargains and it i**** or miss on any given day. You know the concert tee's could be unclaimed baggage. They could have in a shipment that was misplaced. You just never know.

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

That is only 10 minutes from my house! I personally think it is WAY over rated!! It is set up like a department store, and prices are a bit high for my tastes. BUT,,,I guess everyone should go there once...OPRAH did!!
