For those of you who have had a BLADDER TAC would you please describe the procedure and after care info with me.  Seems as if the Dr thinks I need one  Its just a matter of when as we already have the hospital in mind (UAB).

Hi Susan.  I have never had that done, but I need it.  I don't have the infections like you but I have other problems.  Maybe we could get a room together and see if the Dr. could do a two-for-one!!!!

I had a bladder tac when I had a radical hyst about 8 years ago.  Then they attempted to redo it about two years ago (long story as to why it failed...cancer/radiation related) but were unable to.  But anyhow, the procedure was minimally invasive.   I was only going to be out of work for a week (I have a desk job).  The procedure I was getting was the sling procedure, which he was going to do vaginally. Here is a web site with information about the different types of incontinence procedures.  Some are more extensive than others.  Do you know which one your surgeon is planning?  Are you using a urologist? http://www.urologychannel.com/incontinence/stress/treatment_ surg.shtml Sandi

Little Miss Ladybug  I would love to share a room with you...LOL!  Think we could talk the Doc into a 2 for 1 special? Sandi thank you for the info.  I am going to have to have this done due to my hyster back in 05'.  I am a Manager at a retail store and I do allot of heavy lifting.  That is what I am so concerned about.  Where I work there is NO light duty, so if the Doc says this then I will have to be out of work.  Thanks for the info again!  I am on my way to the site to see what I cant find out!
