My son's (Sam's) friend and our neighbor 16 year old Dan was killed Friday night. I cannot tell you how many times they played basketball together between our houses. It was comforting to hear the boys out there cause we knew they were safe. They live accross the street from us. The basketball goal is still there and the basketball is in our laundry room. Everything is so quiet now. But worse than that Tina lost her son. I cannot imagine her pain. Please pray for Tina and Mike and all the teens here in our small town, like my son they cannot smile for their pain.

I AM SORRY VERY SORRY FOR EVERYONES LOSS.  I PRAY FOR COMFORT FOR YOU ALL.

I will be praying for the family who lost their child and for your family and especially your son.  This is so hard for young people.

I'm so sorry the loss of Dan. I know Dan is in the comfort of our Father's arms tonight resting peacefully. Every day I pray for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one.. because I know every single day there is someone in need of comfort. I taught my children that too.. So in our prayers we say "Lord, please be with those who are mourning the loss of a loved one today". Just a thought for an added line of your prayers.  I hope your son is smiling again soon and finds comfort with other teens in your town.

Hi Deb.  I woke up and could not go back to sleep.  I saw this and my heart is breaking.  I am praying now!  God bless this family.  God bless your son, the youth in your neighborhood, and you.  I just can not imagine!
