stomach pain?
I was just wondering if any of you have had an ulcer and what it was like? I have for the past several nights thought I was dying! I havent been eating anything diffrent so I know its not what I have been eating. But I have been having a pain that feels like someone is just stabbing me, it goes all the way though me to my back. It hurts when I breathe deeply, when I move there is no comfortable position I can get in. I orig. thought maybe it was gas, but now Im not so sure last night I ended up taking 4 gas ex and still had no relief. But the pain is so bad I just bend over in pain and cry. Now I hate the thought of going to the Dr and he says its just gas take some more gas ex... so I am going to give it a few more days to see if it stops before I head to the Dr. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?
Do you still have a gallbladder? The pain you're describing is very close to what I've experienced when mine acts up. Gas pains wouldn't continue night after night, they would be very intermittent...gallbladder attacks will come on after you eat certain foods, and it's very common to experience problems with the GB after losing weight rapidly.
Something you should definitely have checked out.
I'm no expert, but it sounds the pain I had when I had stomach ulcers. Mine started in the back and just radiated through my breasts bone and stomach area. They had to do an EGD to find out for sure and ended up putting me on 20 mg of Nexium. Try borrowing some Nexium from someone and take it. It took mine a couple of hours to kick in, but good gravy it gave me some relief from all the pain!
