Newbie(Pain on Left Side)

Hi Everyone! New here. I am 5 yrs out and have been have a dull pain in my left side. It is below my ribs. Anyway I am having a colonoscopy on Thursday. Maybe I will find out something then. Anyone else having or had this problem. Thanks!!!

Hey Jen!  We are neighbors!  Welcome to the Bama Board!  CONGRATS on 5 years out!  I can't say for the pain, could be numerous things.  If it gets unbearable, please call your surgeon or ER.  I know you know that.....lol  Praying you get your answer soon!  God bless!

Hi- I haven't had that but I just wanted to say HELLO and WELCOME and I'm glad you came to this board to post.  There are many folks on here who could maybe relate and give you some clue or advice as to the issue. Do you still have your gallbladder?  I had similar pain and it turned out to be pancreatitis that was inflammed due to my gallbladder so it had to go. Best of luck and welcome to the Bama Board! ~Heather

Hi Jen...and welcome to the Bama Board!   I had similar pain @ 2 - 2 1/2 years ago and it was reflux.  I know that sounds VERY odd to have pain that far DOWN from my esophagus (BELOW my ribcage), but that is where I was very irritated FROM the reflux.  When they scoped me, they found it then. Let us know how you are doing! 

No I still have my gallbladder. I do sometimes think it is reflux. Well I will find out soon. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.
