Wonderful fun with Karla and Loretta
Short video my foot.....that was a MOVIE, and I just thought you were taking pictures.....that will follow me forever. Oh my gosh....WOMAN!!! We had a blast and laughed all the way home, even when we got lost in Montgomery when we had to take detours to get back on 65. Oh my...what a mess. We spent an entire hour in Montgomery trying to get on the interstate.
We had a wonderful day. Your house is charming and warm. The barn made some great pictures that I hope to paint at some point. You and Bob were such gracious host and hostess to both of us. I don't think we could have had a better time.
The four on ramps that we tried to get on 65 in Montgomery was a little harrowing, but it all came out just fine. We figured it out and finally found a way to get on the right road. Elle was hysterically funny with her mild panic and concern about the narrow highway and the little detour through the drug infested residential area . I don't think we were ever in any real danger, but it was an adventure. Well, honestly, the whole day was an adventure.
Thank you for a wonderful time. Please do come and visit anytime you are in the area. I have room and live close to the lake.
The dog was really glad to see me. She is sound asleep now that she has been fed and had her pig ear. She is snoring, as I type.
I second everything you said......We had a WONDERFUL time with such gracious host and hostess. It was a beautiful day....even down to those icky, crawly, squirmy WORMS!!!
Oh my gosh......I was skeerd in the Ghetto......oh my oh my.....that was scary!!! That just ain't my kind of adventure......
Christian and I will see you and Hug tomorrow afternoon.....I'm heading to bed.....

WE followed the directions perfectly to 65-N, but when we got there, the on ramp was blocked. Even the truck drivers were getting frustrated. So we tried to follow the detour signs, which they had not made obvious enough for us to see and follow work through the traffic....although I suspect that they had not actually told us anything except to detour.....no alternative ramp or route was marked. So I started working backward, once it was established that working forward wasn't going to work. .I had to cut through the "residential" area that paralleled the interstate...which was not really what I would call a ghetto...no shotgun houses or obvious "crack" houses....just a few people leaned up on the backs of the tailgates of their trucks or trunks of their cars smoking and TCBing...they may or may not have been 'selling" anything...but yes, they could have been. I was basically more worried about hitting someone than what they were or were not selling. I found a major street to cut back and that ramp was closed , too. So ultimately, we had to go all the way to the Pincolala exit 164...I think that is the right number....to find the first open ramp back on the interstate. Then we had to drive between those cement barriers for several miles that were only one-lane wide and had caution signs blinking every mile or so. Loretta was fit to be tied. If I had been the nervous type, I would have had a panic attack and nervous breakdown...but thankfully, I was the one driving and Loretta could have the panic attack and nervous breakdown for both of us...heeheehee. In some ways it was worse than Elle described, and in some ways, it wasn't that bad....I guess it is all a matter of which side of the car you were on...heeheehee.
