Sometimes, if I'm eating really dense foods (chicken, steak, etc) I get the feeling you're describing.  While it always passes, it can be very uncomfortable.  I haven't asked the doc about it, it just hasn't gotten that bad.  I usually take some tums or walk around til it passes.  I do believe it comes from not chewing properly, but hey, we all get in a hurry, lol. If the problem persists, you should contact Dr. F to make sure you don't have a stricture or anything. Good luck, lisa

Hi Donna.  I agree with Lisa.  I have not had that problem but I know when we get further out we can eat more and don't have to be so careful with chewing.  It might help to eat softer foods for a bit and see if you still have the lump and pain.  From what others have said if you have a stricture the pain will be there even with soft food.  Keep us updated.

Hey Donna.  I know what you mean.  We just have to remember to CHEW CHEW CHEW.  My scarey thought is that of stretching the stoma.  If the pain keeps up, call your surgeon and get an appointment to get in to see him.  Love ya!
