I just talked to Ellen and Maxie is doing well. One of the stints they placed in Feb. had collapsed. They replaced it. The Dr.'s say he can not have WLS. He has to be off his Plavix for a month before surgery and he has just been off it a month and that is what caused his heart attack. So he is kind of disappointed about not being able to have his surgery. We need to pray for them both. Ellen is tired but she is staying with him in the hospital. If all goes well he will be able to go home sometime tomorrow.

Oh Debbie thank you so much for posting this update, I was just sitting here thinking about them and wondering is all was ok! I am so glad he is ok. They both will be in my prayers. I just love Ellen to pieces and I am sure Maxie is just as nice! Thanks again hun for everythign!

Hi Susan. I just read your post about your bladder infection. I am so glad you went to the Dr. Maybe the meds will do their work and you will be feeling much better soon.

Praying hard for both of them. I am sure he is upset about the WLS, but.......we have to keep him around at all costs!! Both Ellen & Maxie are very special people! Thank you for the update!

Coming off Plavix for that length of time can and will cause havoc. Every time Bob has to come off it for any length of time he has another stroke. I wonder why the doctors can't figure that out???? An overweight Maxie is by far better than NO MAXIE at all. We will all have to encourage him to restructure his fabulous cooking to a more healthy way and help him to control portions. We can help Maxie and Ellen by being their support system. If Maxie can't have WLSurgery then he can have WLSystem and we will be the System for Maxie. Everybody in?
