Let's Pray For Those Who Were At The Air Show Today
I know...right now all of the news crews are going down there to the area to report what all happened. The Blue Angels are performing this weekend, so this is a very BIG deal...the air show that is, not to mention this tragety.
I am thinking about MY family too. Tim, Jessie and Hunter went to the air show yesterday afternoon. This could have happened to them. Imagine going to a family outing like this and a disaster happening.
Jackie,
I keep waiting for news regarding this. They said there would be a news conference at 4:00pm regarding this, but I have not seen that happen yet.
There have been two different stories that I have heard--the one being that the large tent was blown over with at least one fatality and multiple other injuries--
Anoter story that I heard was that lightning struck a power pole, knocking a transformer and live wires to the ground killing on and injuring others.
Not sure yet what the facts will be...hope to know soon.
Looks like 48 News is coming on now...maybe they will have some details.

One dead...at least 12 injured. They are not releasing the age or identity of the fatality.
Apparently around 2pm a strong thunderstorm and high winds came through downing at least three tents belonging to 1)SAIC, 2)City of Huntsville, and 3) GW Jones & Sons.
Needless to say, the Air Show including the Blue Angels were cancelled.
I had been to see the show yesterday and they are simply amazing. The tragedy is certainly a sad one, but thank goodness none of the pilots and aircraft were involved.
As Jackie suggested, please keep these families and those touched by the tragedy in your prayers.
