Please pray for over 22 kids and adults of Centenary United Methodist Church from Lexington, Ky and 2 children and the driver of a pick-up truck that collided earlier this afternoon in Dothan.  There were a total of 79 passengers in 3 buses traveling from Ky to Panama City Beach when the accident happened during a storm. The kids were on their way to a retreat. It is our understanding that 2 kids that were passengers in the truck are critical.  As bad as this accident was, it could have been so much worse.   ACCIDENT

Oh Gwen thank you for letting us know!  I went to the website.  It is a wonder no one is dead!  That truck looks awful.  I will be praying for them all!

Later reports said it appears the pick-up hydroplaned .  If that is true then there was NOTHING either driver could have done to have avoided the accident.   About 3 years ago we had recently bought a new truck.  We were about 50 feet from this same spot when we were caught in the tailwind of a tornado. Bob hydroplaned and luckily we did not hit anyone nor did anyone hit us.  We had a totaled truck and sore backs but nothing major. These kids need our prayers as I know first-hand what they are going through.  The people of Dothan deserve a hand for coming together and caring for more than 80 people last night as there were 3 buses from this church traveling together
