Just walked in from church and had a severe blood sugar drop (34)...I put on baked beans before leaving for church and made potato salad....pear salad, tomatoes/cucumbers/onion salad and garlic herb bbq bread...  Kyle is getting the grill hot to bbq some chicken breasts, brats and hotdogs....  Holly, Beau and his family will be here shortly...we have VBS starting tonight.  Christian is here sipping on his milk bottle about to take a nap.  We had a wonderful puppet ministry at church today for VBS kick off.....He had a blast and is not worn out....LOL  I'm cooking enough to get us through the next couple of days.... So, what are ya'll cooking today?  I'm interested to find out..... Next..... Love you all, Loretta

Hey Elle, We are not cooking!  Today is Anthonys 15th B-Day so we are headed out to grab a bite to eat (at a place of Anthony's GF, Tiffany's, choosing) then the kiddos will be dropped off at the movies.  Tino and I will be going across the street to Lowes for some pricing (we will soon be tearing out walls in the house and replacing as well as other home improvments) and then we shall get the kiddos and grab a nice yummy Ice Cream from Cold Stone before heading home!  This will be my very last ice cream for ayear, unless I find a yummy sugar free IC!  LOL! Sounds like ya'll are going to have a great family day.  I  hope you all enjoy!

We had chicken fingers, potatoes, salad and Texas toast.  Sounds like ya'll are cooking up a storm down there in T-town!  I hope you have a good day and have fun at VBS!  My 17 year old nephew is speaking at church tonight about his experiences working at a youth camp in Nashville.  So we'll be going for that.

Hi Elle!  You will never know where all your wonderful receipies wiil end up.. I was told how good the Alabama board was----espically you!!  Makes you want to move to Alamba to meet all the wonderful people.  I  must confess about something and you will get a good laugh.  I tried your wonderful crock pot roast last week.  It was soooo good, but I am a dumb Arky when it comes to cooking.  When you said "put vegetables, oil and seasoning in a plastic bag and shake and place over roast"   well you guess it he he he(as Randell would say)  I didn"t think to take the vegetables out of the bag!!!  Just put the darn ole bag in,, but it was still good.  My HU and I are stiilll laughing at that one.  We both work the night shift,  so I usually cook all night and have the meal for lunch.   Tonight, I am going to try the Orange Chicken.  I brought low sodium soy sauce. Tell you in the morning.  Love you Elle and your cute little grandson.

Well Allison....what a blessing it is to have you join us over here on the Bama Board.  WELCOME!!!  I am so sorry about your veggies for the roast....leave it to me to forget to tell you to take them out of the bag....ha ha!  I just like coating the veggies in a bit of olive oil and they cook so nice and evenly plus you get the salt and pepper on even too.  I'm glad you liked it.  Please let me know about the Orange chicken and what you think about it.  Glad you are enjoying the recipes.  KEEP ON POSTING!!!  and thanks for the compliment on my sweet baby grandson.  Looking forward to getting to know you better....and I want to see pictures too.
