Hi and Welcome! Oh you, I looked at that picture and said, "That looks like John Goodman" before I had a chance to read your post!  I always love to watch Big Lebowski. Well, you have come to the right place. And with four teenagers, you will get plenty of prayer and support from us. My sister has four teens (19,18,17,16) and so far she is surviving albeit her hair is completely white. I think you will find lots of success stories from this board. You will "know" what the right surgery for you is when you get it in your mind and heart and just "know" that's the one. Kinda like marriage... Welcome Dan and WAR EAGLE!!! (My daughter graduated from Auburn in May.)  Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.  If you decide to go with the DS, one of THE BEST doctors is in Marietta, GA, Dr. Dennis Smith.  It is a more complicated surgery and it's harder to find a good surgeon that does them.  As far as the RNY, there are lots of good surgeons who do that.  Keep posting and let us know what you decide!
