guess what..

Yesterday was my birthday and my hubby got me a laptop. I've never used a laptop so I am trying to get used to it but I think I'll have it figured out soon. Anyway, now I can take my friends with me when I go to Germany next month.. I am concerned about being stranded in the airport and not being able to communicate so now I can go to babelfish.com and type what I want to say and it will translate it into German for me. I still cant say it but I can let someone read it. It wont keep me from being stranded but it will allow me to ask for help.

Another feature the laptop has is a built in webcam.. Kelly's sisters will be able to be part of the birth without having to fly over there or having to wait for pictures to be posted. They will be able to see her as soon as she's born. I love technology.

Happy belated Birthday, Gina.  Wow...that sounds like a really nice laptop.  I always said I would not have one, but I can't live without mine now.  When do you leave for Germany??

Thank you. I think it's a nice one but since I dont know anything about laptops, I really cant say for sure.  My flight is July 23. I'm nervous but a little less since I can take the laptop. Time is going by so fast.. it wont be long until I'm there.  Gina

Thank you. I helped pick it out.. LOL... I told him that I wanted one but of course, he said no... I knew he'd get it for me. He's the kind that always says no but does it anyway. I'm in Orlando right now with Emerson. (She's a week old). I probably wont see her again before Christmas. They grow so fast. Gina

I'm enjoying myself although most people would think my trip is boring because we are only sitting in the house, that is the kind of vacation I like.  There's a Starbucks less than a mile down the road... guess where I'm going in a few minutes.  Gina

Belated Happy Birthday Gina!  I know you will LOVE that laptop.  Bill bought mine for me just before I had my WLS and I have really enjoyed having it. 

It's hard to get use to but I'm sure I'll adjust. I think I need to get a mouse because I'm use to how they work and this little finger pad is driving me crazy.

I made myself get used to the finger pad so I could feel comfortable using it anywhere.  Now it's second nature to me.  The mouse makes it a little less portable.  Something to consider.
