Prayers for a Deployed Soldier

I received the following from a friend of mine, here in Colorado. Her hubby is home on R&R & leaves to go back on Saturday. I know they are worried sick! I believe the 21 yoa is his brother.

Please send prayers to this young man & his family. I cannot imagine the pain he is in or the panic his family is in.

**Please pray for my lil brother in law. He is 21 and serving in Afghanistan. He is within a month of getting back to Germany. He has been hit with an ied. He has a fractured ankle, fractured knee, and burns to his right arm and face. He is still in Afghanistan trying to get stabilized.**

I do not know his name @ this time. I did tell Denise not to worry, that if he was anything like Mike, he is adding up the % of disability he will get from this. Not to make light of the situation, but I think anybody who has been around Military guys, they will understand what I mean!

Thank ya'll,

As the wife of a career Army Officer, I encountered brave young men in his condition at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.  Suprisingly, many of them just want to know how soon they can get back to their unit. We will pray that Denise and her family will be comforted and that her brother-in-law will have a complete and speedy recovery. Thank you for sharing, and God Bless  -  dj

Nothing tastes as good as being thinner feels.

I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

Hey there Bonnie.  I understand exactly what you mean.  My daughter got a bit of  disability when she got out, but my husband, after getting shot twice and serving two tours of duty in Vietnam has received very little.  He has not yet gotten his purple heart that he was promised. I am just thankful he is alive.  I will certainly be praying for this young man.   How are you doing??  I hope things are better.  Love ya!!!
