Moving to Birmingham in 3 weeks-need a local doctor!

Hi, I was banded in April 2007 and will be moving from Tucson, Arizona to Birmingham, Alabama in a matter of weeks. I'm hoping someone can suggest a good doctor and/or fill center. Thanks for any information you can provide!

My doctor is in Anniston, AL.  He does lap band, but that is about an hour away from Birmingham.  His name is Bryan Freeman.  If you would like more information on him, I will be glad to forward that to you.  Welcome to the board.  Please don't be a stranger. 

I would love to recommend my doctor....Dr. Andrew Dewitt at Carraway Hospital.  He's awesome.  I had gastric bypass, but he does do lapband.

Hi Welcome! I used Dr. Les Miles at St. Vincents East in B'ham. and my husband uses Dr.Lee Schmett. They are both good doctors.Hope you find one close to you. Ellen in Cleveland, Al.

Welcome to Ala,,,I had RNY but my dr as well as many others on this board can recommend who they used and liked. Are you relocating due to work or home here..In any case ,welcome and hope you  have a safe and good travels during your move. Hugs and Blessings  Shirley

Welcome to the Bama Board.  Alabama too.  I have been to Arizona before.  We loved it.  Cahaba Valley Surgical Group has a great group of Dr's.  They do both RNY and Lap.
