Emerson was not born as early as we expected but fortunately when Kimberly went back to the midwife's office, she was able to get better measurements and said the baby would not be as big as previously stated. She said she'd be about 7 and a half pounds.  There was a full moon Wednesday, June 18 and labor began shortly after midnight. Emerson made her appearance at 2:09 PM on Thursday, weighing in at 7 pounds 7 ounces.  (She is 24 hours old in this picture.) We had to come home shortly after her birth so I am returning to Florida on Thursday but will only be there for the weekend.

Unless my bifocals need cleaning, Miss Emerson closely resembles GINA
