Whatcha "COOKIN" today????

I've been up since 6 am, getting things together and have put on a crockpot roast, taters, carrots and onions, got fresh squash and onions boiling to make a squash casserole and I've made 24 hour coleslaw to marinate all day. I have yeast rolls to rise later on during the day also.  I am having a loaded coconut cream pie for dessert and I took a chunk of wedding cake outta the freezer too.  Holly, Beau and my Daddy will be here to eat with me tonight.  Kyle and Jill will be working.  One way to not be lonely is to cook and have someone over for dinner, huh?  Am I getting good or what?  heee heeee!!!! So, yeah, I know....I'm a nut starting dinner so early, but it takes a roast a long time to cook in a crockpot and the slaw had to marinate too and while I was at it....I might as well have gone ahead and boiled the squash while I was in the kitchen....will put together the casserole later....... Now then.......What are Y'ALL cooking today????  Inquiring minds wanna know?????? Love to all, Loretta

Bob had to   yesterday getting ready for his test at noon so he is still sleeping.  He will be "drunk as a skunk" the rest of the day and will not be able to eat anything but soft foods so no cooking again today   Pray for me--he is a pill when he wakes up. He repeats the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over

I really feel for him this time. He was sooo sick last night.  The "cleaner" made him sicker than I have seen him in a long time.  He broke out in a cold sweat and gagged and heaved.  If this test was not so darn important I would have told him to stop it and not drink another drop.  I have already put a sign out front that the bait shop is closed until Wednesday due to illness and please do not blow the horn!  I am turning off the phone ringers so he can sleep when he gets home.  Might tick people off but they can get over it!  I am looking after him the best I can. Can I come eat with you ?????  It sounds GOOOODDDDDDDDD

Bless poor Bob...that is just awful.  I hope he will feel better soon.  People can just get over the bait shop for a day or two.  Bob's health must come first. I wish we lived closer and you sure could come over and eat.....NO, rather...I'd bring you a plate.  My kitchen is smelling so good already.  The squash and onions are all boiled up, so all I have to do is put the casserole together and put in the fridge till I get ready to cook it.  Funny,.....My roast and squash casserole is Beau's FAVORITE!  Wonder if I'm buttering him up for something???  hee hee!!! 

Morning Elle, Boy sounds like ya'll are gonna be eating good tonight. I think we are gonna do something simple this evening, no time for real cooking.  I have one more final to take and plus my brother in law will be here for lunch.  We havent seen him since his daughters deaths...I am gonna take him and his family out for lunch when they get here in a few hours! This evening,  I will be grilling Sausage dogs & Burgers.  Nothing fancy over here today.  Some chips and cole slaw, thats all! Good morning Loretta,

I got up at 4:30 this morning and finished cleaning my house and then put some hamburgers on for Leo. He gets off at 6:00 and instead of breakfast when he comes home, he usually fixes himself dinner. Since I was up early I decided to do it for him and he was pleasantly surprised. I'll be working late again tonight so I'll probably pick up a salad when I get off UNLESS the boss buys us all something. It depends on how late we work.

Your dinner sounds great!! My mom called last night and said the only way she could get company was to cook supper so she's cooking tonight for my sister. I haven't been able to go by in a few days because of my hours. She gets a little whiny when we don't visit enough but I sure can't blame her for that.

I need some of whatever it is that you get your energy from!!!  Dinner all planned out before breakfast???  You amaze me, lol. Not sure what we'll have - we have a pork plate from a local bbq hut (leftover) in the fridge, so that may be it.  I have a yard that needs mowing, so I won't want anything much after getting hot & sweaty.
