I am making stuffed peppers with peppers out of my garden. I use quinoa instead of rice, my new favorite grain I discovered a while back. rice does not set  well with me now and I bought the quinoa for my birds and tryed the pepper recipe on the back and it is awesome. Kim

STUFFED PEPPER...and FRESH ONES AT THAT????  YUM-OOOO!!! I've heard about Quinoa...do you cook it the same?  Now that RICE has increased in price, it may be an option too.  Rice doesn't settle really well with me either.

I dont think the quinoa is cheap, I really dont remember what I paid for it since I originally got it for the birds (yes my birds eat well!!!) nutritional facts are 172 cal for 1/4 dry and 6 grams of protein. pretty much cook the same as rice. Now it may not be a good deal for a crowd it certainly does well at my house since we dont do rice often. They have some good recipes on the box too. I got this box at garden cove. I loved stuffed peppers. Good thing too because my garden is doing good and I double planted this year due to the increased price of things.

I have made my famous potato salad, a white cake with blackberry topping, and have chicken marinating in chipotle sauce. We will grill the chicken tonight.
