My husband isn't technically a dad, but he has been a step-dad for 21 years (since my son was 3) so I always feel that he deserves a Father's Day present, only this year I am at a total loss as to what to get him.  He is one of those types that if he wants something, rather that telling someone he just goes and buys it.  He just bought himself some new clothes so that's out.  Throw me some good ideas.  I was actually thinking about ordering him some Birkenstocks sandals.  He doesn't typically wear sandals, but I didn't either until I got my first pair of Birks.  Now I love them and have several pair. I can sympathize - I have no idea what to get my dad either.  And I like to get Hubby a little something, even tho we have no kids - just a rotten dawg, lol.  Don't know what to get him either.  Men are much harder to buy for than we are, huh???

I went to price wheel barrows today. My goodness, I didn't know they were so doggone expensive.  I remember buying one for my Dad years ago for around $30.  The cheapest one I could find today was $69.  Kyle had mentioned just today that he would love to have some ICE car wax that he'd seen advertised.  So, off to Target I went and they had all the ICE products on sale.  I got the carwash, car was and the shine spray stuff.  They had a good sale on it too.  For my Dad, we got him a hand electronic bible and concordence.  He had seen Kyle's and my uncles and seemed interested in it, so that is what we got him.  I got Beau a couple of Father's Dad/Daddy books to read to Christian.

Your husband sounds like mine! Why do they make it so difficult?!?  LOL!!!!! Power tools! You can't go wrong with power tools that is if he like that kind of stuff... If he like to fish, maybe a new rod and reel... Birkenstocks .... New clothes anyway, maybe something else to go with what he already purchased... Time alone... Time alone with you... Just throwing things out there....I am just buying Dale a card. We don't usually make a big deal about Mother's and Father's day except with our parents. When Dakota is old enough and wants to make us something then we will go from there.

I got my cue at dinner tonight for what to get him.  He is a workout fanatic (super fit...naturally) and mentioned that he needed to get a heart monitor to make sure he is getting his heart rate where it needs to be when he is working out.  Now I just have to research them and get one ordered ASAP.  Fortunately his B-day is only two weeks away so if I can't get it here by this weekend, I can always use it as his b-day present.  Or perhaps a combined present for both occasions (depending on how much those things cost).
