I'm Home
I'm home. It was nice to return to Oklahoma and visit my hometown. My grandmother is still hanging on and staying strong, i think seeing the family really raised her spirits and gave her some positive energy to focus on getting better instead of giving up.
I have to say that after 16 months of complications and being deathly ill i can finally eat. Since this last surgery/revision i am finally able to eat foods and keep them down, and boy did i eat! I missed so many restaurants from my hometown i pigged out! Dr. Mailapur said i had no restrictions, i was so severely malnurished and underweight. He said "rich foods, fattening foods, carbs..if it stays down then eat it!"
I bet i gained 15lbs on this trip, which is okay i needed to gain a little. I just don't want to redevelop bad habits that put me in this situation to begin with, its tough to juggle. We went down to Bricktown which is the downtown area in OKC that has been rehabed and its just beautiful, tons of places to eat and shop. You can walk along the water canals and ride in gondolas, i actually had the energy to park and walk all over the area! I wouldn't have been able to do that a month ago, i was too weak to walk across my living room...i'm getting stronger yay!
Okay so what did i miss, what's going on with all of you?
