monavie???
Has anyone heard or use the product Monavie? It has become the rage here - seems to be another pyramid scheme but research I have done shows that the acai berry is actually fairly beneficial. Of course, there have been no FDA studies... The thing that bothers me the most here is that one of the more radical (contemporary, i guess you would say - but I mean nothing negative by that) Churches here are the ones pushing it. The pastor and a Dr from the congregation go to members houses that host "taste" parties.
Just thought I would throw it out to the Board and see if any of you have any experience here.

There is a website for the stuff - www.monavie.com I think. i'm just uncomfortable that a church is pushing this health drink. And it is expensive!!! I think it's about $49 dollars a bottle - a very pretty wine looking bottle at least. To make it realistic money wise they encourage you to be a distributor - sounds like snake oil to me! Just feels smarmy! Although friends are swearing by the restorative powers - everything from high blood pressure to arthritis to very personal problems are supposedly cured....
It looks quite interesting with a host of ingredients that would be very good for your body. I'm not sure about the means of introduction of the product though...haven't thought long enough about that yet? Keep in mind that MANY of our products we use don't have long/lengthy time of research before it hits the shelves as nutritional supplements.
