Anyone use Dr. Bunch??

I have a friend who had a consult with Dr. Jack and changed her mind and went with Dr. Bunch.  Just a thought.....

What did she not like about Dr. Jack?

FYI - they (Dr. Jack) advertise a "free consultation" but have been known to bill for it.  That's the only downside I've heard of that office. Good luck!

Lisa, I have heard the same thing as well.  I've known several that have consulted with him, just no one that I know has used him.

I called and talked to the office.  This is what they said.  Regular cosmetic their is no fee.  Complimentary.  But if you had Gastric Bypass and want insurance to cover then its your regular co pay.

That doesn't seem fair does it?  Seems we're always getting knocked about for having Gastric Bypass.  Insurance companies and doctors are so funny if we've had WLS. Good gravy, we're so much healthier now, how can this be that they want to treat us this way? 

OK, well that clears that up....but just a caution on your "regular co-pay".  I have BCBS, and when I went for a consult with one PS, all they required was my $25.   A month later, I get a bill from them for $310...the balance of the consult fee.  When I called BCBS, they told me that since they denied the surgery (panniculectomy), they wouldn't cover the consult.  I had to pay it out of pocket.   Not trying to be a "negative nelly"...I just don't want anyone to be hit with costs they weren't expecting.  Check with your insurance company to be sure!  GOOD LUCK!

I called Blue Cross.  They told me what you just said.  So i just dont know what to do.  I dont want to end up paying for an office visit that BC will not cover.
