Please Say a Prayer For My Dustin...

Dustin is my 25 year old son. They got the new restaraunt opened ( he is executive chef) but he has been pulling some awfully long hours..9:00 am to midnight most days. He came by here last night and was hoarse, and had burned his hand pretty badly. The burn is at the base of his thumb on the little fat pad. The blister is HUGE..I hurt just looking at it. So please..if you have a moment..remember him. He wouldn't let me take him to the ER..and he told me not to baby him. But I am a mom and I can't help it. I cried myself to sleep last night, sick with worry. Thanks Bama Family.

Oh Iris, I'm so sorry. I have no children(yet!!!), but I worry myself to the point of getting sick to my stomach when something is wrong with one of my cats- I can't imagine how worried you must be. I'll be saying a prayer for peace and comfort for you and quick healing with minimal pain involved for Dustin as soon as I post this reply. My son is 25 married with a 1 year old, I think we all worry about our children no matter how old they are. He sliced open his finger at work and I was in the Dar****il my DD told me a week later. I asked my son why u no call yo momma . He said God mom it was a finger.

Hi Renee, I'll remember your Dustin in my prayers.. I know we try not to "baby" our babies because in our eyes, they NEVER grow up! He is such a hard worker and I know you are sooo PROUD of him! Sounds like he got his work ethic from his momma! Take care of yourself and don't let the teenagers drive you nuts at the pool this summer. How's your tummy doing and your arthritis? I think of you every day but don't always get on here and post. I'm lazy I guess. Take care of yourself and for sure I'll be praying for Dustin's hand. Chefs MUST have their hands and I know that is gonna drive him crazy until it heals. We really must meet up at Starbucks soon and talk. Love ya girl!!! Vicky
