Our Day with Aiden - way off the subject and you may not want to know!
I know that Aiden has absolutely nothing to do with WLS but let me tell you what we did!
He came to stay with his Nana and Pop yesterday so his momma and his daddy could celebrate their wedding anniversary!
He took a nap just after they left (he hadn't had one all day) and then he was wired for sound! We sang, danced (good for Weight Loss, I promise!****il about 8:30 p.m. (His usual bed time is 7 p.m.)
We were up at 2:30 a.m. for a cereal bottle (and since Nana gets up at the crack of dawn anyway) we played for over an hour!
At 3:45 a.m., he and Pop went back to bed ----- Nana was in her usual well, I'm up - might as well do something mode! so I started morning chores - and believe me, chores here never end! 5 dogs, 5 cats, floors to be swept and mopped, dishes that need to be done, laundry that is never ending (with only two people!)
So Nana went back to bed at about 4:30, up at 5:30!
Can someone send me sleeping pills, please!
Finished every thing - getting stuff ready to go to the Zoo today!
Aiden's first visit to Zoo!
Boy, what a trip this was!
Aiden loved it! Pop loved it! Nana was sweating! And Nana hasn't done this since WLS! I forgot what it was like to sweat!
Since WLS, I am usually the one that is always cold! Well, brothers and sisters, today wasn't the case! It was HOT! And Nana's hair was soaking wet by the time the Zoo trip was over!
After 3 and a half hours at the zoo, Nana was ready for a bath (which she hasn't got yet!).
Aiden loved the Zoo! Especially when the Lion roared at us! And can I say roared he did! So for the next hour, Aiden and Fish (pop) roared until Nana was ready to scream!
He liked the pink flamingos (thank goodness, because I love them and my kids make fun of me for liking them so much!), he liked the big ole' ugly lizards (which I can't stand, except for the ones on my porch that eats the bugs!), he liked the giraffes (which is a good thing because I have them all over my living room as the decor!), and he wasn't too happy with the monkeys (but they are all over his room and he loves them there!)
So after our trip, we ate lunch/supper - he likes eating as much as Nana! So we were good on that part of our trip! He loves eating ice! You know, cutting teeth and all!
Well, we got home! Bath time it was - because we all stink! I didn't realize how much sweating could make you stink (remember I haven't done it in a while!)
While I was giving him a bath, or could I say it was the other way around - his mom and dad showed up!
Now, remember he has been an angel all day, even with the heat!
And Lord knows, what happened?!
My angel turned into a tantrum fit throwing monster!
There has to be something with the momma and daddy!
Well, we got him dressed and off to home then went! According to Sam, he is just now laying down for the night and of course, Nana is getting the blame because he is wired for sound and doesn't won't to go to sleep!
What can I say?
Isn't that the job of a Nana?
Love them, spoil them and then send them home with the momma so they can be her problem?!
So now that you have read how much fun I had today.....tell me about yours!?

Lisa, I know you and Fish had a ball with Aiden! That's what Gramps and Grammys are for. Spoil 'em and send 'em home. I know you loved it. I know Aiden did too. You know when the parents come back around the kiddos have to start acting up all over again. HEHEHEHE That's what we did best. Remember? LOL Love ya and tell Fish hello from the Culpeppers
For every Goliath, there is a Stone! His name is Jesus!"
Hey my brother!
we had the best day!
and yes, my job is spoiling! and I think I do it very well!
At least Aiden thinks so!
We love you! And remember us in pray! Fish had some issues today with his hand.
Aiden doesn't understand that Pop can't do the things that he normally does.
But we are believing after Tuesday, every thing will be back to normal!

That is EXACTLY what Nanas, Memaw, Grandma's, Maw Maw's and any other name standing for grandmother does. I will never forget when my oldest granddaughter was about three. She loved mint chocolate chip ice cream. Her mother, my daughter, told me to take it easy on the sugar because my daughter is a firm believer in no sugar is good sugar, which is good and true, but come on now, a little child needs a bit of ice cream now and then. Anyway...we went to the store and low and behold she saw the mint choc. chip and just had to have some. Well, over the week, she ate the whole 1/2 gallon. When we started to take her home, she said "Memaw, now don't tell mommy that I ate that ice cream". I told her I wouldn't. She walked in her front door, hugged her mommy and said "Memaw bought me a whole box of ice cream and I ate the whole thing". Go figure. My granddaughter is now 18, just graduated high school and my daughter forgave me for that last week (JK). Don't ya love to spoil them.
I am laughing my self silly! That story was way too cute!
But at least Memaw didn't tell on her!!!!!!! LOL!
Isn't it funny how our babies tell on theirselves!
And as my mom told me when my babies were little and I would fuss about her spoiling them, she would just get this look on her face and say "one day you will too!"
I didn't know what she meant then, BUT boy do I know!
It's funny how as I get older, I hear my mother's voice coming out of my mouth!
And it's even funnier hearing my voice come out of my daughter's!
That one is price less!
Yesterday, Sam was having a bad day and when Aiden had his little temper tantrum after they got here....I heard that voice.
All I could do was wrap my arms around her, let her cry it out on my shoulder, and remind her it would be okay!
She felt better, I felt better and my son-in-law was in shock!
He told me....I don't understand how she can cry on your shoulder and then every thing is all better so quick!
That's a momma's touch!
Lord knows that I love Aiden and don't want to give him back but I do miss when Sam was a little girl and I could rock and hold her!
Let me get out of this mode, or I'm gonna cry thinking about it!
Carmen, thank you! You have brought a smile to my face today! And I appreciate you so much as my friend!
