IT's A Girl!!!

We have a NEW member of the family! Today, we welcomed, by surprise I might add, a beautiful new BASSETT HOUND named Abbie!!!  My DH surprised us with her this morning.  She is gorgeous.  My DD has wanted one for a while and has asked God, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, her Guardian Angel, Blessed Mother Mary (we are Catholic), and every grandparent, aunt, and uncle for a bassett hound since she was 3. Well, she got one.  (I give the credit to God, of course!)  Her other family could not care for her any longer as they realized they were too busy to take up time with her so they were looking for her a new, loving home. Well, Well.... we welcomed a new member to a part of our extended family tonite.  A 7 wk old beagle named Pete is here visiting with my very best friend from high school's two teenagers bruoght him up with them this afternoon. We have all of them for a week!!!!!!! Isn't it exciting!!  That poor baby should be intimidated with my 10 but he stands his ground.  He's a cutie patootie namedPete! I look forward to many adventures this week with a 17 y/o young lady, a 13 y/o young man and side-kick Pete,  It's going to be something to write about I'm sure! They are here for a week and I am THRILLED to have them!!!!!  xoxoxo

At our house, new additions are always welcome! That's why there's five dogs and five cats! Have fun with her!  Love her!  And she will always love you unconditionally! Isn't that what makes the world go round?! At our house, it does! Lisa and Fish

When I saw this thread, you have no idea what I was thinking, LOL LOL!!!!  Congrats on the new puppy!!!!!  That is awesome!!!

AWWW...that's too cool!!!!!  I want a bassett hound SOOOO bad!!!!  I know how your DD feels!!!  I want a boy and name him Fred...just like Fred in Smokey and the Bandit.  They are too cute!!!  I hope ya'll enjoy her!!!

I  Bassett Hounds!!!  My step sis has one, and she's (the dog) a HOOT!!!    She "sun bathes" around the edges of their swimming pool in the summer time.  She'll get hot and then enjoys the kids splashing her to get her wet.
