MY MY MY!
I could barely wait to get home today. My Pastor CHEWED off MY toes today. God knew just what I needed. Why post it here? Ya'll know how I am. He preached straight to me. God used him to minister about my tongue and how I can hurt and even kill people with my words. I had to repent today like I do EVERYDAY! Thank God for grace and forgivness! Thank God for HIS mercy. If it wasn't for those, where would we be. He said something that really stuck out in my mind. We use bridles to steer horses to get them to go left of right, We can tame just about any animal, yet we can't tame our tongues. He also talked about communication and how we have to understand what we are saying AND what we are hearing. May I always be slow to speak and quick to listen. God help ME with my mouth!
He also stated: Effective communication occurs only if the receiver understands the exact information or idea that the sender intended to transmit. I thank GOD for the Word and how it can keep me inline!
I love you ALL!

Awesome post Randall. Sounds like a GREAT sermon ya had today. I am ever mindful of my tongue because it ALWAYS is getting me into ho****er! Your words can build up or tear down someone. Usually this is done out of anger before we have time to clearly think through our response. This is especially true with my children. I get upset and "fly off the handle" and say things to them that I shouldn't. These words are harmful as well as hurtful and they serve no real purpose for building. Please pray for me in this area. It is something I have worked on for a LONG time and I have gotten much better about it in the last several months but I have NOT arrived yet! Thanks again for a great post! Love ya my friend!

Can I stand and say that you just slapped me between the eyes and I have the big bruise to prove it!
I know sometimes I just let my tongue fly and don't think about what it may do to someone else!
I know that I can have a biting tongue - you would think that after all these years that I could control it!
thanks for posting this!
It reminded me to be a whole lot nicer!
but I will apologize in advance because we all know that I speak before I think most of the time.
