Hi, I live in Alabama and had a VGB 14 years ago.  Needless to say, I have gained all of the weight back and more. i recently had several test done to see if ssomething was wrong.  According to my doctor, it's not the surgery, it's me!  I read in a post on thus sute about the surgery mentioned above.  Has anyone in Alabama had this surgery?  If so, can you can me any details or suggestions about what I can do from here. Thanks

If your pouch is still intact you could try going back to the basics. I have noticed many people with a complete regain quit eating like they should, drink with meals, snack and eat sweets. I am 5 years post op and still maintaining at below my goal. That being said..have you looked at the revisions board? You may find more info there on your question. There is a procedure called stomaphyx and the ROSE procedure that may help. Good luck!!

A casual stroll through the lunatic asylum shows that faith does not prove anything.

If I were you I would check in to the stomphax. I heard a doctor last September speak on this new procedure. It is noninvasive, which means it is not done surgically. From what I remember it is something that would help people like you that have gained a lot of weight back. I have no idea who in Ala does the procedure. Seems to me the doctor that was doing the speech was in Ga.

Thanks to all *****plied to my previous posts.  I found a doctor in Florida which is close to me.  I called and left a message, so hopefully, I'll hear something tomorrow.  I'll keep you posted and thanks again.

Hi There  I hate to hear that your VBG was not successful.  I will be 7 years out on the 26th.  Until you can get an appointment please try as already suggested and go back to the basics.  There is also the 5 day pouch test that many find helpful to get them back on track and start the losing cycle again. 5 Day Pouch Test

Thanks, I start on the 5 day pouch test today!  I'm concerned that it won't work because it's been so long.  We'll see!  My only alternative is another surgery, if this doesn't work, so keep your fingers crossed!

A positive attitude goes a long way in jump starting the weight loss.  If your tool is still in place as you described then give the 5 day test a try.  Keep telling yourself that you can and will succeed.   Keep us updated Gwen
