Jalapeno Relish???
Does anyone know what this is and where I can find it? I have a new reicpe that calls for 1 can of this. Just wondering if something else can be substituted if I can't find it. Would green chilis work? I know if would not have the same heat factor.
Recipe is as follows:
1 1/2 lbs extra lean ground beef
1 can jalapeno relish
1/2 cup water
2 cans refried beans
1 envelope of taco seasoning
brown beef, drain. Add remaining ingredients and simmer. Top with ff sour cream and shredded cheddar.

I've never heard of it either, but it sure sounds good. I've had homemade pepper relish before that my grandmother used to make and my Daddy has even made it a few times, but never heard of jalapeno relish. Let me know if you find out what it is and where you find it if you do. I'll keep my eyes peeled on this end too. I'm saving this recipe.
I have never seen it either, but I looked it up online and apparently Old El Paso used to make it, but no longer does. I did find where you can order it on Amazon, its made by Casa Fiesta.
I will look next week when I go out and see if I can find it. I know Food Giant has a big section of nothing but mexican food products, so they might have it. It does sound like it would be yummy and high protein as well.
I'll let you know if I can find it.

If we could find a Mexican Grocery store, thye would probably have it. There use to be one here but it closed. Will look at Kroger the next itme I am there and see if they have it. I sure hope we find it, I am really wanting to try this recipe. It says to wrap the filling in soft tortilla shells or eat it with chips. Sounds good all by itself to me. I bet it would be good to eat it on lettuce with chopped tomatoes and onion!!
