WLS friendly food item or meal??? Mine is Turkey and Cheese roll-ups, I think......There are so many things I like, but this was and still is one of my favorite things as a post op that I'd never eaten before WLS.

I still love to make up different protein shakes, but I don't do that often because we really should eat.  I love turkey, also and now I have learned to make turkey spaghetti, which is really good.  I cannot tell the difference.  I also like to get soy ice cream and I love peanut butter, but I have to do that sparingly.  Turkey bacon is one of my favorites also.

I have never been much on protein shakes and have to mostly depend of food for my sourse of protein.  I wish I could drink them, but I find it so hard to do.  There are some really good protein powders out there , but I tire of them easily.  I just LOVE unjury.  It's the best to me.  Turkey spaghetti is good.  I have made lots of stuff with Turkey.  I like turkey burgers too.  I also like the  Boca soy burgers.  I find them quite tasty too and full of protein.

Hey Elle!  Unfortunately, my favorite WLS friendly food is the chocolate chocolate covered Oh Yeah wafer bar.  I say unfortunately because it is high in fat.  However,  I have had to back off of them some as they have started affecting my blood sugar.  I can't eat them for breakfast anymore.  I also love string cheese and sometimes I will wrap a piece of all natural ham around it with a little mustard!

Good morning sunshine.  It's so good to see you posting.  I've missed you.  ---------I've never been able to find the OH YEAH bars.  Where do you get them?  Might be nice for a treat.  They sound good.    String cheese with Ham does sound good and with mustard too.  I must try that one.

I order them online from several different places.  I google "ISS Oh Yeah wafer bar" and just go down through the different vendors to see who has the best price.  And I try to find free shipping.  The last time I ordered I got boxes of 9 bars for around $11 a box and I went ahead and ordered enough boxes to get free shipping. OCCASIONALLY I will find them at the GNC on Redstone Arsenal, BUT they are over $17 a box!!! Ridiculous.

Oh my goodness...kinda pricey at GNC, but maybe I can find one there to try to see if I like it before ordering any.  They sound really good.

A really great treat is to take ham , a mozerrella 2% low fat cheese stick that you sice down the middle and make 2 of and a bread and butter stacker pickle ,, It is the long thin sliced one for sandwichs.   Lay out 2 slices of the ham ( 30 calories each , half of the cheese in the middle (35 cal) and one pickle slice ( about 5 cal) ..do the other piece of cheese the same way that you cut..For approximately 100 calories each roll up  you have a very filling wonderful tasty snack..  If your really hungry just put the wole piece of cheese in each roll up and the caloric intake would still only be 70 cal each on the cheese snack  making 2 of those 270 calories for the both..  It is dense  so it keeps you full, it is sweet and crunchy and had mostly protein . I LOVE THESE  The pickle slices are made by Vlasic .. Shirley

I love sugar free popcycles.  There is nothing that seems to calm my tummy like one of these.  I also like to do shaved ice....ice shavers are not expensive from places like Walmart, Target, etc.  I use Crystal Light diluted to half of what is called for by the package directions and then have a wonderful "snow cone" or "Slushee" syurp that is sugar free and taste better to me than the sugar free ones you can order online from snow cone companies.
