Last night Leo and I got the motorcycle out and we rode for 2 hours. I can't help but think that 5 or 6 years ago I would not have been able to swing my legs over the seat much less sit on that little bitty seat for that long. This surgery has been the best thing I ever did for myself.

Leo gets worried because even after all these years, I still have to be careful what I eat and how much. This morning I ate a very small biscuit but it had butter on it and for 20 minutes I had to just lie down on the couch and wait for it to pass. YUCK!!! I still have problems with chicken if it isn't moist and rice will never be my friend again I don't guess.

My life has changed so much due to this surgery. I love it - I absolutely love it!!!

Well DebbieDoo since nobody else has anything to say - let me be the first to do the happy dance for you You have a right to brag a little bit. And I'm very proud of you if I do say so myself!!!

That's the kind of mood I'm in. Instead of whining that nobody replied to my post - shoot - I'll just reply to it myself!!! I love me!!!!

DebbieDoo (dothebusstophere??) Don't ask me - I have no idea!!

I am sorry that you had to pat yourself on the back....we should have been here to do it for you.  So, let me send you a belated....WOW how nice to have been able to do that and to now share time that you could not share before with Leo.

Seems rice and chicken are problematic for a lot of us.  However, I find it inconsistent.  Sometimes I will be able to tolerate a certain dense protein at lunch and then cannot tolerate it again for supper.  I have not figured that our yet.  I have been doing a lot of reading and have not found where anyone has come up with a answer.  I guess there is probably some kind of cumulative effect.

It is so good to hear positives about life changes and new joy brought on by life altering experiences.  I know that the struggle will be daily for you for all your life, but how joyous to have these positive moments.

I was just playing around. It really doesn't bother me if people don't reply. What would really bother me is if nobody took the time to read my posts.

Thank you for your reply though. I know we are all busy with life but its nice when someone takes time to share your good times.

Love,
DebbieDoo

I love it for you. Nearly every experience in life I have now I think I would not have been able to do that before surgery. I am so proud of you. I  wish my husband had lived long enough to see me now. Enjoy each and every day. It just gets better and better. Love, Miss Mary

I know what you mean Ms. Mary. I wish my first husband had lived long enough to enjoy more of life with me. We would have been quite a pair. But my goodness, the things Leo has brought into my life are more than I ever imagined!!! My redneck is precious!!

I LOVE HEARING ABOUT WOW MOMENTS!!! And this is a GREAT one!! Good for you.  Rice and I have had to part ways.  I look like a volcano spewing maggots when I eat it  . On a lighter note (he he, get it, lighter note, wls...), it keeps me from taking in the carbs I don't need.  This is a personal question but did your heiny end hurt after riding the motor for two hours.  Whenever I ride on my bike or take a spinning class, my rear hurts for hours. I guess losing ALL that padding I had has it drawbacks.
