Liquid Iron supplements?  My Hematologist prescribed this for me today to up my blood level.  I have taken the pill, but it made me VERY nauseated.  She said this was better because our pouches didn't have the acid to act with the pills and this liquid form wouldn't need the acid.  I do have to take it with Vitamin C though.  Just curious if you have had to take the liquid and how it tasted.   On another note, I got GREAT reports at all 3 Dr.s today.  I don't have to go back to the Endocirnologist for 5 months, the foot Dr. released me, and the Hematologist said my blood count had gone from 30 to 34.1 in 3 weeks!  That's God!  Only thing it can be!  I'm happy with those reports.   Thanks and love you all!

Hooray for the good reports, Randall! I did take liquid iron supplements early on.  I hate to say it, but, YEEECCCHHH!!!!!    OK, it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't something I looked forward to.  DR finally switched my multi vitamin to Myadec which had the Iron I needed.  JOHN

My best friend is my pharmacist and he ordered the myadec for me.  It should be available in the larger drugstores - none of which I have here in little old York!

Oh i agree, it is some nas-tay stuff!  I had a hard time keeping it down but it was a necessary evil.  Good luck with it, i hope you can tolerate it better than i did.  I ultimately had to go in for IV infusions.

WONDERFUL NEWS that your Hematocrit has gone from 30 to 34.1!!!!  WOOO HOOOO!!!! Now, if the liquid doesn't work for you, keep in mind the iron supplement I told you about.  It DOESN'T make me SICK at ALL!!!  It MAY work for you too!  It brought my Hgb/Hct counts UP!!!!  REPLIVA is the name of it. As your BRIDE is telling you...Vitamin C WITH your Iron is a MUST!
