We're finishing up the leftover memorial day hamburger patties and adding cheese potatoes to go with it.  I also have some cabbage steaming right now too.  Yum! What are YOU having for dinner tonight??? Loretta

All I ate was some cheese potatoes.  They were made from leftover Yukon Gold baked potatoes .  Oh my goodness, Jill did a wonderful job with them.  They are so good.

No problems with spicy food here.  I've never heard of such.

Hi Ginger- I had lapband not RNY but I think the guidelines are similar as far as eating.  I was also told to stay away from the spicy stuff.  The explanation the nut gave to us was that the pouch was so much smaller that eating too many spicy foods could cause a sensitive stomach or cause reflux and the onset of  acid  reflux could damage the stoma.  I was also told that many formally obese patients had pre-GERD or GERD symptoms and strong spices could further damage an already damaged area.  If that makes sense!  I was never a spicy food eater but I do love me the Mexican dishes!  I just go with things that are a little bland. Everyone is different. Some tolerate things better than others and we have all learned that one size (or way) doesn't fit all!  Good luck with everything! Nanci

Greens n' Beans (again).  We just love 'em and anytime I can get a 6 and 3 yo to eat healthy, I am all over that!!! We had pintos with diced turkey sausage, collards, and corn muffins! yum  Proving once again, I am a country girl at heart!
