Why don't you let them choose from a variety of styles (maybe 2 or 3)  so everyone can be happy. There is nothing worse than pissy bridesmaids.  If everyone looks alike, my opinion only, then there is nothing original about it.  Just because a style looks great on one doesn't mean it looks great on others. The hair type has alot to do with it as well. Thick hair verses thin. Even peoples faces might not look good with a particular style. I was once in a wedding were the bride (my best friend) demanded I wore a particular hairdo and now to this day she says she wished she would have let me choose. I looked like a total dork but I wore it for her.
