Did he mention epicondylitis? That's the medical term for tennis elbow or golfer's elbow..they are only slightly different. They can make you think you have done some serious damage...when in truth it's inflammation. I work ortho and we carry laptops all day long and I had an awful case of lateral epicondylitis for 4 months. Some days I thought my arm would fall off! Other days I almost wished it would fall off. Anyway it's fairly simple to treat. A mild steroid injection into the site, ice, anti inflammatory meds and a tennis elbow strap. Me I just like to suffer! No truthfully I was too full of pride to let the Doc's know I was hurting until I couldn't stand anymore. So...anyway that's my thoughts.
