Atlanta Convention CANCELLED

The Atlanta OH convention that was planned for September has been cancelled.  Looks like we will have to find another place to have our slumber party.  We had sooo much fun last year.  

I was looking forward to this event.  I am very disappointed.  Do you have any idea what happened that it was cancelled?  It certainly way well attended, so I cannot imagine that would be the problem.   What if we planned a conference of our own, if this is going to be a problem.  I am sure we could get doctors to talk about what they do, or at least their nurses.  We might have to run a shorter conference at first, but i bet we could do this, if OH is not going to provide us with this kind of support......OR are they planning on providing a conference later in the year to replace this one.  This decision does not bode well with many of us, but I am helpless as to how to help with continuing this kind of regional support meeting/conference.  Any suggestions?  What recourse do we have to fill this gap in our our system?

One of our main sponsors of the Atlanta event was not able to participate and that resulted in having to cancel the event.  They are working on trying to get something else going but it might be a while.  They haven't forgotten us down here!

Flip, Dang. I sure was looking forward to the conference. I guess we could all get together one weekend and have a slumber party. I got an idea we could do it at my house and run Bobby off for the weekend. . I have 4 bedrooms and a den with a sleeper sofa. I could put some one on the floor in the formal living room. Just let me know, it sounds good to me.

Besides if I am going to run Bobby away for the weekend I don't think he would appreciate me having a coed party. In fact I know he would not. The men can always come for the day and go shopping with the women. That  way we would have some one to carry bags for us and extra wallets full of cards and cash. Now reckon the men would want to party with us women.

I just found out that I was not going to get to go to Atlanta that weekend. Bobby just informed me that we had reservation with 2 more couples to go Wyndham Resort in Fairfield Glade Tennessee. There is 5 golf courses  and those 3 men will only have to play on 1 twice. They will be a happy bunch and we women will be to as long as they leave us with a lot of $$$$$ . But we will still have to do the slumber party.
