I some times have a hard time finding a variety of foods to eat for breakfast. Can anyone help me with some foods that will be good to eat for breakfast? I have had the gastric bypass and I tolorate everything under the sun, even hot peppers.                                         Thanks, Angel

Thank you so much for reply!!! I am almost 7 months out and doing great. I get lots of praise from Dr. Mailapur for doing good. But, I don't want to eat in the morning and I get tired of the same old stuff. I love kashi cereal. Thanks for the suggestion.    Angel

Spicey foods are my friend!  Normally I have a protein shake or cottage cheese w/a spoonful of sf jelly. But for the past two weeks, i have been on a oatmeal kick. I made baked oatmeal saturday and have been eating that for breakfast ever since. Sometimes I have peanut butter on taost, special k protein plus cereal w/ a little banana (I have trouble with leg cramps now) or a couple slices of lunch meat and a piece of cheese.

This morning I had cheese stick and a banana.  But I have been eating steel cut oatmeal (Sold as Irish oatmeal), Kashi cereal, french toast made with eggbeaters and s/f syurp, an egg omelet with peppers, onions, and cheese, cheese toast, fried soft egg mixed with grits, and almost anything that is sugar free and can be done with low fat.  Oh, I also bake my own bread in the bread machine using Splenda Blend and olive oil in place of butter....the french toast is better with french bread...which I also sometimes make.  I like malt o'meal, too, but that seems like more of a Texas thing than an Alabama thing...it is hard to find in stores here.    Eggs scrambled with sausage then wrapped in a flour tortilla with grated cheese and salsa is pretty good, too.   You can also try that with flat bread.

Oh, those eggs and sausage wrapped in a tortilla sounds like what I would really like. Thanks for the excellent ideas!!! I will try many of these.                Thanks, Angel

I will be 7 years out next month.  Believe it or not my tool STILL works and I am losing weight again.  Most mornings I have a piece of toast and coffee. I will have either a  slice of bacon (I cook mine on a dripper pan in the microwave) or cottage cheese mixed with splenda to get some early protein.   Some days I put cheese on the toast and pop it in the toaster oven.  Before surgery I HATED cottage cheese and now I love it.  Like most post-ops I have problems with the taste of eggs.  Before surgery I loved them but now I get the  effect if I am not careful.  I can eat them sparingly if they are fried with the yellow running and the white cooked.  I am persnickety about my eggs

Cottage cheese with sf cherry pie filling is yummy. Some days I just eat a Carb Master yogurt. I have never been a breakfast eater. I hate the though of anything in the mornings except coffee.
