Thank you. I know that MOST of the older post ops understand but I cant help but feel like a discouragement to the newbies plus they are kind of a discouragement to me. It's usually a newer post op who says "You can get back on track".. and I know they mean well but without being where I am, they just dont understand. I dont want to keep explaining myself so it's easier to not explain. Just know that I feel better about myself when I'm not constantly on here.  My orthopedist called today and I'm going to get a shot tomorrow. Only 2/3 of the shots actually have any effect but I am hopeful that I will be in the percentage that does. Last night, I moved "funny" and today I have less movement than my usual amount. What helped your frozen shoulder? Does it just go away?  I dont know if I'm considered old or not but I FEEL old these days.

It's been a while since I had my problem but I do remember having the steroid shotsand I wore a sling for a while to keep it immobile...not for very long mind you. I also remember doing circle exercizes later and using heat and cold when the pain was really bad. I stopped lifting anything over 5 lbs. - had to!! Of course you forget at times and grab a granchild but for the most part I did good. I also remember that if I slept with my arm and shoulder out from under the cover, it would give me fits the next morning. It just gradually got better, mostly on its own. There were days when I would cry from the pain and I even had pain running down into my arm and fingers. I'm glad I haven't suffered from this in several years.

Its good seing you here and I do hope we'll see you a little more often.

Love,

Today has been one of my more painful days. It started last night when I went to bed. The pain is even in my jaw.. I cant expain why. I am getting a shot in the morning. I am afraid it's going to hurt but I'd rather endure a little pain to get rid of a bigger pain.  I have to keep my arm covered at night too so I know what youre talking about. Part of therapy is ice packs but it seems like cool air makes it more sore.  I'll try to stop in every once in a while.

Best of luck, let us know how it goes. ~Heather

Thank you. I have always been an artsy person. I briefly got involved in too many projects and had to back off some. I have cut out a lot of things since I am preparing for a busy summer.  OUCH!! Can he pop his shoulder back into socket when it pops out? The thought of that makes my shoulder hurt.
