Yes, Dr. Snyder retired in September 2007 - sad.  Stay away from Dr. Todd he is evil in my opinion.  Dr. Searles has taken over Dr. Snyder's practice and seems to be very busy, I don't know any docs in Fairbanks - good luck.

Hi Alaskaloser.  The plastic surgery depends on a few factors, just to name a couple: your age, your weight you have to lose and how active you are.  For me, I'm female in my mid-40's so the stretched out skin will not go back to a little pooch.  I will need the surgery but that won't be until at least 2 years out (according to my Dr) as your not done losing the weight until about 2 years out.  My Dr said I can resume normal activities at 6 weeks after surgery (i.e. full exercising, including weight lifting).  Hope this helps you.  My revision is on the 19th of Feb so I will be doing exactly what I'm supposed to do.  I start my 2 week High Protein Diet Monday for my surgery.  Jaye Dene 

Hi I have a few questions about the surgery I am going to be talking to my doctor about getting.  Does everyone have to have platic surgery after the surgery or if you go to the gym alot does your skin tighten up naturally? Also how long after surgery do you get to go back to normal activity?
