Military in Alaska

I am in Alaska and plan to be having this surgery at Elmendorf once I can get a consult and get through the huge waiting list. In the meantime I would like to hear from others and how they have dealt with this in the military. I feel that we don't have a choice as far as picking our surgeon which is a bit of a bummer to me as I would like to be able to choose my surgeon but I don't know much about the one in Elmendorf. Hi how did it go with the dr. did you get approved ?What was your bmi? I am trying to have the surgery but my bmi is only 37, I have tryed to lose it but I can't . Please email me back . Thank you Amanda
