ANYONE MILITARY AT FORT RICHARDSON/ELMENDORF AFB?

 IM LOOKING FOR ANYONE MILITARY OR NON MILITARY WHO HAS HAD WLS? IM HOPING TO MAKE FRIENDS AND EVEN POSSIBLE START A SUPPORT GROUP. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE ARENT ANY IN ANCHORAGE UNLESS U ARE DR. TODD'S PATIENTS. LET ME KNOW! 

Hello, I'm on Ft Rich. I had my RNY on Feb 1st with Dr Searles. Haven't met anyone else from Ft Rich that has had the surgery, I've been trying to find a support group in Anchorage.

 hi, im so glad you replied. i was doubtful that there was anyone out there. haha. i havent found a support group here in anchorage but if you ever wanted to get together i would love to meet someone who has had the surgery.

Fort Richardson spouse living on Elmendorf side by the PX/BX...

I'm 5-years out from surgery but know someone who has had the surgery just a couple weeks ago and another who is getting a date in a week or two. If your still interested in meeting some people let me know and we can work it. I  know what it is like to not have a support group. I too did not have a support group when I had my surgery and there were so many questions I had. I guess that is why I love this site still today. Anyways, let me know about meeting. I don't work and have plenty of time for new friends.

Hi, I have a question?   We are moving to ft richardson alaska, and I am doing research.  In order to move there I have to go through an efmp screening, will the wls affect my screening.  I am almost 2 years out with no complications.  Thanks!

Hi....I am moving to Fort Richardson in November and I had lap band surgery two years ago.  Does anyone know if it will be hard to see a new Dr. once I get there.

Also wanted to respond that I would love to get together with other WLS people for support!
