I have a friend who just moved to Alaska and she is interested in getting the vsg, are there any Drs in Alaska who does this surgery. thanks for all the info u can give me...

Dr. Searles and Dr. Todd both do many types of bariatric surgery including RNY, Duodunal switch and banding. Since the VSG shapes the stomach like the duodunal switch, I think they both would be capable, they would just need to be contacted to see if they were willing.

I've never heard of Dr. Todd or Dr. Searles doing the DS....this is new to me haha.

Dr. Todd has done 4 total and takes care of many post op patients *****located to Alaska, however he prefers the RNY. Dr. Serles office says he does them too. I do not know how many he has done.
