Opinions on Dr. Todd
Hello!
I just found out I will be meeting with Dr. Todd in March and I am very happy to be doing so. However, I do not know much about him besides the basic stats on him and would love to have a more personal view on him, his staff, and anything else! I am actually seeking him out for a revision, so any information specifically on that topic would be great!
Thanks!

If you would like to speak to many patients of Dr. Todds at one time, you are welcome to come to our support group meeting. We meet on Wednesday, Feb 24th. 7:00 at the Fairbanks Cancer Treatment Center, which is on the north side of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Although most of our group have used Dr. Todd we are not specific to one Dr. or hospital, we are a group of people who want support and want to help others who want support.

Dr. Todd seems to be good, His staff is going through some changes right now. They have a tendency not to follow through. He has very recently hired a new nurse who is very competent so there's hope that the office will be improving. I have heard very good things about Dr Searles also, and I would check out both.
Dr. Todd is AWESOME!! He has an amazing before and after surgery "routine"! He is very kind, sweet, down to earth and caring, Most of all he is Christian, and there is something about a man of God as a surgeon, it gives you a little bit of peace! He also said a prayer over him and I right before the surgery! I love most of his staff! I had Dr. Todd do my surgery almost a year ago, and would not of had it any other way! My mother had Dr Searls and there is like no follow up with him! To my mother and I it was like "ok here is your surgery, have a nice life" whether it is like that I don't know, but thats the impression we got from him!! Just go see him, and ask him ANYTHING he is very knowledgeable on anything that you are looking for answers too!! Good luck!!

Dr. Todd requires a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 to contact the insurance. Dr. Searles does not require this and he contacts the insurance. Dr. Todd requires monthly visits to see how you are doing getting your pre-op stuff done. Dr. Searles gives you the list of what you need and keeps track of you without that monthly co-pay to him and you see him again when when he has recieved your insurance authorization for a pre-op appointment. With Dr. Todd you are joining a fat person club. With Dr. Searles, you are getting a competent surgeon. Dr. Todd stood up at his info meeting and said that he was the only game in town nd if there was another surgeon in town doing the surgery, he would quit and go fishing. Well he should plan for retirement, Dr Searles is in Anchorage and is very good and is doing the surgery! After meeting both and talking to their staff and patients, I would choose Dr. Searles.
