Because our next Support Group Meeting is two days before Christmas we have changed the date to;

Wednesday December 16TH, 7:00 at the Fairbanks Cancer Treatment Center

also, we are having a pot luck. bring something you can share that is LOW/NO SUGAR or HIGH PROTIEN, and please bring the recipe so you can share with everyone else.

where is the cancer treatment center?

It is on the North Side of Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, next to the Outpatient Clinic.

I have an appointment with Dr. Todd in Anchorage for a consult this week.  Someone suggested I get a second opinion from Dr. Mayer in Fairbanks.  Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Mayer?  Does he perform the lap band surgery or only the bypass?

I went to Dr Todd,  Dr Mayer hasn't started doing the band yet, but I was told that he would be in the near future, currently he does only bypass.   We are having a support group meeting on Wed, the 13th your are more than welcome to come and talk with us there.  If you would like more information please let me know.
