Looking for support groups in Anchorage

We are finally here and looking for a post weight loss surgery support group in Anchorage.  I am also curious about the best gyms in Anchorage.  HELP!

I know if you call Dr.Todds office they can tell you about the support groups. They have like 3 a week. there is this new gym here called Planet Fitness.  Its awesome, 20$ a month, unlimitied tanning and unlimited geust passes.

I just looked in the phone book and did not find that gym.   I just got my lap band surgery done on  Nov. 2nd and am now ready to get going  ....   Where is this gym??  Is it a women's gym??? Jeanee

we ended up joining the Alaska gym.  I went in and did a tour and gave them my information.  At that time they really didn't offer us much of a deal but they called several times after that offering us other deals.  I joined when they called with an offer for one month free and 20 free childcare visits.  It pays to wait for the deal you want I guess.  www.thealaskaclub.com

Oh wow!  that would be great!   I really do not want to "join" and sign a contract before I really know what I am getting into.  Know what I mean!?   You got a good deal!    Maybe I should go in and do the tour and wait for a good one!  hehehehe JEanee
