GAINING
I need help. I need some words of encouragement. My surgery was 6/1/05 and I lost almost 100 pounds. I am still 40 from my goal and I have "fallen off the wagon".
I have gained back almost 20 pounds and can't seem to get back on track. If there is anyone out there that has gone through this and turned it around please tell me what you did. I am freaking out
Lisa,
I haven't gone through what you are going through post-op so I can't say I know how you feel. All I can offer are words of encouragement and to let you know we're here for you, each and every day.
For me, this surgery was my last hope of ever being at a "normal" weight. I'm still about 45 pounds from goal, but I can finally see it happening.
I've learned through experience in my life that sometimes I have to take things one day at a time. All I have is NOW, today. Today, I will eat healthy food - protein first. When tomorrow comes, I can eat whatever I want. But for today, healthy food, and lots of water. I can do anything for 24 hours.
This is how I quit drinking 23 years ago and how I quit smoking on New Year's Eve 2005 - one day at a time.
You can get back on track, Lisa. Do it just for today. Do it just for you. Because you're worth it.
