Yes, week and tired. Remember you had major surgery and probably not taking in enough proteins for healing and energy. I started off by drinking the premium protein from Costco and had one a day as they are 30 grams of protein. also drink your water slowly sip by sip.

I am heading to my family doctor next week to ask about the possibility of bariatric surgery.
I am 26 years old, 5"5 and 370 lbs.
I have PCOS, Depression and sleep apnea.
I also have a 10 month old MIRACLE baby, whom I tried for the last 6 years for. She is my entire world.
Enough is enough. I have tried everything under the sun.
I am looking for hope, inspiration and any information you have available for me.
1) How long did it take for you to have your first appointment (after referral)
2) How long was the wait for surgery?
3) How was surgery? I have had a c-section but that is it for surgeries.
4) Tell me your story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Cindy
congratulations on your surgery, you are doing amazing. I am one week out from sleeve. I was wondering if you were weak after your surgery and how long it took you to recover. I am in calgary to but had my surgery private out of province. Thanks for your help.

Hello. I'm new today.
I'm in Airdrie and accepted into the Calgary Clinic. I would be interested in the Calgary forum too.
Hi Micromina,
I'm still pre-op so can only suggest one thing, have you tried removing lactose from your diet? I had those same symptoms for years and assumed I had IBS or similar, finally went to the doctor who sent me for a range of tests and it turns out I'm highly lactose intolerant now.
Just something to maybe try.

I had a panni and abdom and skin removed from my hips and arm pits in 2003 but now that I seem to finally be maintaining a healthy weight my wings and thighs are very unsightly and make me pretty depressed. Has anyone has both legs and arms done in Alberta? What did it cost? Was it awful? Thanks, micro.
Hi all. I was 304 at my top weight and lost over half of that in the next 18 months post op. Zhen over the years I've gained and lost repeatedly. Jan/15 I was 220 but I went on a strict low carb diet and lost 60 lbs. over 7 months (I know it was stupid but I just couldn't stand the weight anymore). Since then I've lost more slowly and have been maintaining at 150 for 5 months. But I'm having a problem with dumping which I shouldn't be having with VBG. Actually I quit gluten to see if that would help, it has not helped with the gastric issues but my food cravings have gone away and my brain fog has cleared up. Anyone with any advice about the diarrhea, gas and bloating? I also I real problem with vomiting if I eat too much, or too fast, or the wrong food. =( Thanks, micro
Hi! I'm also in Calgary, looking for a support group. I've sent a request to be added to the bariatric sisterhood FB page. My surgery will be on May 3rd. I can't wait! Just wanted to day hi!
My story is very similar to yours. 15 years ago I had the VBG in Cardston and had nothing but problems and threw up for years. Until I had a revision with Dr. Debru last April. I had it laparoscopically and only after tests were done to make sure it was even possible. He was great and it's a huge job revising these older vbg surgeries into the newer ones. By pass rny was my only option. No regrets, down 75 lbs and feeling so great! Good luck!
