Dr Karmali (and most of the others) do scopes on anyone with previous stomach problems or chronic acid reflux for several years........ I have had acid reflux for 12 plus years even when I was 100lbs lighter..... so its just to be on the safe side and no surprises during surgery

can i ask what the scope is for? i never had one...

My first appt was Dec 5, 2011
My original surgery date was Dec 5, 2012
got bumped due to Dr Birch's schedule and now i'm January 9th, 2013 - so 13 months....although i havent been back to the clinic since July...my follow up appts have been via phone because i'm in Grande Prairie.
i was referred the end of May.

So got a call today that they had a cancelation for my scope....... so instead of it being May 23.... Its going to be Jan 3...eeekk!!

So excited an nervous lol

The lady that called said it was a cancelation spot, so not sure if they have made more room for alot of scopes or I just got really lucky.

Now I need to do some serious thinking on if I want a Sleeve or RNY since I might not have much time to decide.... leaning to the RNY.

Happy New Year Everyone

I do think they may be a little thicker than some shakes, but I wouldn't put them in the gunky thick category.  I know Your Fred is quite particular though, so hard to say if your purchases were just old or needed more shaking.  Some of my batches did require more shaking!  Are you in Calgary?  If so, I could drop a couple 'good' ones off for Fred to try again.

I'm confused about these. I keep reading that people LOVE these shakes, and I'd love to join the party, but when I've bought them they were the most gross half-gelled texture and I just couldn't swallow them. (Fred hates thick shakes and sends them right back)

Are they supposed to be thick and I just don't get the joy? Have I bought bad batches? (I've bought them a couple of times - same nasty deal each time)

It is the best product by far that I have found. I too have been looking and they said they can't get the vanilla into stock at Costco. I did find in on Amazon but they were unable to deliver to Canada at that point.......I'm gonna check that out later. Sure would be alot easier to find it in Edmonton though.

Hi everyone. I've been faithfully buying the Premier chocolate shakes from Costco, but haven't been able to locally source the vanilla. Is anyone aware of an Alberta store that carries the vanilla? It's such a great product!
