Please be sure to have an informed family doctor that has knowledge of the sleeve procedure or at least a doctor that is willing to research the procedure.

I seen speedtraps comment that the clinic deal with his sleeve and so he is right but the clinic isn't always there for you, at 18 months out because I surpassed all goals they set for me I was discharged and left to fend on my own, I hear now a days they are pushing people out even faster.

For me I was very lucky to have a doctor that was rally up to date as 2 of her own family members abroad had the rny and ds done.

Good Luck and I hope it all works out for you.

Kee.

I am in Calgary and I gave up on the system here.  Made my mind up and am heading down to MX for my sleeve on April 1st.  Could not be happier of the decision made.  Having it done by Dr. Garcia at Mi Hospital.  Did research into the tax thing, and yes you can claim on income tax as a medical expense.  You can also claim the price of the flight too.

Met with Dr. De Gara for my consult today and I was given a surgery date of April 16, 2013. Now that I have an official date it's starting to feel real. Super excited and really nervous at the same time but I can't wait to start my new life!

I used Weight No More out of SK because I liked their choice of surgeon and facility. Haven't heard of the company you're using, but I would suggest that you check out their surgical connections in addition to the other types of services they provide

I just found out that I might be able to go in MARCH!!! This was way earlier than I expected... but something I need to consider. Otherwise it is looking like June.... Part of me just wants to go and do it, and start the new lifestyle. just going on my trip in april and so forth after surgery and make it work... another part says wait until June, when there are not trips ahead start then.

Any suggestions????

If you have a BMI of over 35 and a co-morb (Sleep Apnea, High Blood Pressure, ect) you would qualify.

My BMI was not much higher than yours and I went through the program and got surgery, Please feel free to send me a msg if you want more information.  I would not count out the program here yet, I think if cost is a concern, you could try before you pay out of pocket.
